When trying to come up with an idea for a project I wanted to do, I was inspired by Jessica Hische’s self-illustrated books. I wanted to do something similar, and so I went to work writing and illustrating this playful book. I designed it in a Midcentury Modern style; I took additional inspiration from shows such as The Jetsons and Bewitched. I wanted it to look like it jumped right out of the space age.
